Pic of the 383 that the car had in it when I bought it. Engine compartment was black, and wiring was a little "suspect" because according to the owner, the car had burned from the front bumper to the windshield due to a ruptured fuel line.

Pic of the car by the previous owner. The car looked like this when I got it, except the paint was starting to go bad. The rear tires rubbed unless you kept the air shocks jacked up, and it engine was a 383 with a 4-speed trans. 8&3/4 rear with 3.55 suregrip.

Well, there's two doors, two fenders, and the hood leaning against the wall in the body shop. The back of the car can be seen in the extreme right. Things are starting to look pretty bad....... You know that old bit about "always darkest before the dawn".

There she is in all her "glory". The dash still has to come out, and there will be a few more parts removed, but this is not something that is pleasant to look at.... especially when you know that YOU have to put it all back together again. Car is ready to have the engine compartment stripped and painted, all wiring has been removed, and all weather strips have been removed. Believe it or not, the rubber w\s on the car were in real good shape. Minor rust at the bottom of the windshield. Dash cracked, and some idiot mounted a Sun tach in the middle of it!

Primed exterior, painted factory original color in engine comp't, under bumpers, door jambs, ect. At this point, I was finally getting some of my lost enthusiasm back. After working on the car for a year (nights & weekends) I was finally starting to see a little progress.

And now the finished product!
